We have a wide range of skills amongst our band members who all share a dedication in honoring the Scottish Musical Tradition on pipes and drums. As a band we currently field a Grade 5 and Grade 4 group. As soloists our members rank from Grade 1 through Grade 5 and it is thanks to their combined efforts that we are proud to call ourselves Tidewater Pipes and Drums.

From Competitions, to the Virginia International Tattoo, Gigs, Concerts, and Parades, we offer a variety of opportunity for members to make music and perform in the way that speaks to them. We are a band that exists without membership fees and instead encourages everyone to pursue their musical passion in playing and learning with band assisted scholarships at a variety of workshops. We firmly believe in investing in our players and in return see a high level of passion and dedication to maintaining top standards in the tradition of Scottish Music.

Active members (perform with us regularly or at least once at an event in the last year) of our band are pictured below. We also have many students show up weekly who are putting in the effort with our pipe and drum corps to eventually join the band ranging from the single digits and well into the double digits.
