Meet The 2026 Band Board

Board President

Bob Aguilar

A talented bag piper and  U.S Navy Veteran, Bob is our board President. Bob has performed in multiple performances of the Virginia International Tattoo. Bob has been a member of the band since 2018.

Board Vice President

Jake Killmon

A dedicated piper and former bass drummer, Jake brings his passion for the pipe band to every rehearsal and every Virginia International Tattoo he performs in. 

Secretary

Sydney Fletcher

A talented snare drummer with experience leading ODU's drumline, Sydney is the board Secretary. Sydney helps lead the Grade 4 drum corps and got to experience her 1st pipe band appearance at the Virginia International Tattoo in 2025, having just joined the band in 2024. 

Treasurer and Band Manager

Jim Roberts

A talented Grade 1 piper, former band pipe major, and member for over 40 years, Jim serves as our Treasurer and Band Manager. Jim has performed in multiple Virginia International Tattoos, and has been a member of the band since 1982.

Quartermaster

Chris Carwisle

Pulling double duty, our Drum Major Chris Carwisle ensures that the band has the uniform and equipment it needs and that it stays in pristine condition.

Pipe Major

Chris Pearcy

As Pipe Major Chris Pearcy helps lead the band in directing musical education and planning tunes.

Drum Sergeant

Ryan Smiley

As Drum Sergeant Ryan Smiley ensures helps lead musical education for percussionists and selecting or writing scores for the tunes selected by the Pipe Major.
